AI FOR UKRAINE RECOVERY HACKATHON
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused extensive devastation, with recovery costs estimated at $486 billion. The hackathon brings together AI enthusiasts and startups from Ukraine and Estonia to develop innovative approaches for long-term resilience. AI technologies can significantly streamline Ukraine's recovery by offering efficient, accurate, and scalable solutions.
48 HOURS.
150+ INNOVATORS.
20 AI SOLUTIONS.
DAMAGE EVALUATION
AI can analyse satellite imagery, drone footage, and other data sources to quickly assess the extent of damage. This enables rapid response and efficient allocation of resources, ensuring that aid reaches the areas that need it most.
CYBERSECURITY
AI and machine learning models can analyse patterns in network traffic to detect unusual activities, preventing cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure. This ensures the security of digital communications and protects essential services from disruption.
EFFICIENCY AND IMPACT OF SUPPORT
Multiple aid organizations often address the same issues independently, leading to inefficient resource allocation and potential overlap. AI can analyze data from various foundations to identify redundancies and gaps in support. AI can suggest optimal coordination strategies by processing information on ongoing projects, funding allocation, and regional needs.
MENTAL HEALTH
AI-powered chatbots and virtual therapists can provide immediate mental health support to those affected by the war. They offer counselling and crisis intervention services, making mental health care more accessible and timely.
FIGHT AGAINST DISINFORMATION
AI algorithms can monitor and analyze vast amounts of online content to identify and flag disinformation, track the spread of false information across social media and other platforms.
